In front of the shrine, there is a large rock named “Prayer Rock” where people gathered to pray secretly under strict crackdown on believers under the ban on Christianity.
- Kurosaki Church
- In 1897, under the guidance of Father de Rotz, the grounds were laid and completed in 1920. It is also known for being the stage of Shusaku Endo's novel "Silence", and from the place where the church is built, you can see the Sumo Nada with its beautiful blue sea.
- Shusaku Endo Museum and Shopping
- A museum that introduces the life and footsteps of Shusaku Endo, who wrote "Silence" set in the Sotome area. Shopping at Michi-no-Eki Yuhigaoka Sotome: Enjoy shopping and the majestic view of the islands of Sumo-nada sea.
- Ono church
- In 1893, as a traveling church of Shitsu Church, Father de Rotz designed and finished it as a simple and robust setting. The outer wall, which is made by piling up local natural stones, is called the so-called "de Rotz wall", which makes full use of the architectural techniques of Father de Rotz.
- Shitsu church
- Built in 1882 by Marc Marie de Rotz, a French missionary, this church was built on a hill in Shitsu village in the Sotome district. Renovations in 1891 and 1909 almost completed the present appearance, and the pure white outer wall and two towers have become an impressive appearance.
- Father de Rotz musium
- In 1879, Father de Rotz, who was assigned as the head priest of the Sotome district, never returned to his home country and, with a deep love for humanity and a wonderful frontier spirit, worked in social welfare, civil engineering, architecture, medical care, and education in the Sotome district. This memorial hall was opened in 1968 to tell his legacy and convey his great achievements to the present day.
